Job Description

The User Enablement Technology and Data Manager is responsible for the technological infrastructure that enables our content development teams. This person will lead the support and maintenance of content development tooling and technical documentation environments for a global team of documentation, video, and in-app content developers, across multiple products and technologies. They will also lead a team focused on driving product adoption and business results through software use.  A successful candidate must have strong project management and content development administration experience, as well as a high level of technical acumen. Excellent leadership capabilities are a must.  This person must lead a team and excel independently while working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and still deliver high quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for technical infrastructure and the content development tooling used to develop and host software documentation, and responsible for teams and tooling used to develop software product training.

  • Streamlines and simplifies User Enablement infrastructure for better scalability
  • Coordinates cross-functionally and cross-product to deliver user enablement environments for customers and partners
  • Collaborates with content developers to develop end-to-end help and learning solutions.
  • Maintains User Enablement environments and applications
  • Provides technical support for global team of content developers.
  • Successfully works to automate existing processes, propose new ideas/solutions
  • Documents standard technical processes and workflows
  • Manages multiple projects and establish priorities
  • Leads metrics gathering initiatives to provide User Enablement data reporting
  • Guides technology-based content development for User Enablement
  • Provides influential leadership to your team; challenge, coach, mentor:
    • Define standards for excellence in content architecture, in product guidance, and data delivery
    • Motivate and engage team members, challenging each to produce their best work
    • Coach employees and create opportunities to further their growth
  • Assign projects and timelines; hold the team accountable for achieving targets.
  • Measure and manage team progress against production quality and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

  • University degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years experience in technical administration and support
  • 2+ years manager or supervisor role
  • Experience with Azure DevOps environments
  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Proficiency in Windows Server administration, Microsoft IIS, and API administration
  • Experience supporting and administrating documentation content development and presentation tools like MadCap Flare and/or Zendesk a plus
  • Experience in digital content development tools like Camtasia a plus
  • Experience with Pendo or other technology-based in app guidance technologies a plus
  • Shows initiative, be a self-starter, able to multi-task
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with emerging technologies
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in an agile and quick-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and deliver results
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability
