Job Description

Position Overview:

The Store Manager plays a crucial role in driving retail sales performance and ensuring the achievement of the Retail Sales Plan. They are responsible for fostering an environment where customer service, makeup artistry, fragrance expertise, and individual sales goals are met through strong leadership and coaching. The Store Manager oversees the daily operations of the store and works closely with various teams including retail partners, airport management (where applicable), Brand Artistry Training & Development, SEE, ASOM, and other corporate support departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Performance & KPIs:

  • Lead and drive the store’s retail sales performance, aligning efforts with specific KPIs to meet business goals.
  • Execute in-store events to attract, convert, and retain customers, including planning regional marketing events and activations in partnership with ASOM and SEE.
  • Analyze consumer insights, sales trends, and traffic patterns, using this data to develop strategies that support sales targets.
  • Proactively address obstacles to goal achievement and work on solutions with problem-solving skills.
  • Manage the sales team’s performance in meeting sales, artistry, fragrance, and service goals.
  • Track and report business metrics to ensure staff are on track to meet their goals and share strategies with relevant partners.

Staff Development & Performance:

  • Foster a work environment focused on achieving sales, service goals, and personal growth while maintaining a succession plan.
  • Oversee staff training to ensure customer service, artistry, and fragrance expertise are consistently up to standard.
  • Communicate and track individual and team sales goals, holding staff accountable for results.
  • Provide coaching and strategies to improve performance based on training and feedback.
  • Lead recruitment efforts, hire and develop staff, and maintain an active candidate pool.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Lead by example, setting high standards for customer service and sales skills.
  • Ensure the team delivers excellent service in line with brand standards.
  • Address and resolve customer issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Use customer databases to promote product launches and events, driving customer engagement.
  • Work with SEE to ensure all staff are well-trained in service and artistic skills.

Team Management & Communication:

  • Create a cohesive and motivated team by promoting cooperation and communication.
  • Establish effective communication systems within the store to keep staff informed of current initiatives and sales objectives.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and provide feedback through monthly touchbases.
  • Address performance issues through a progressive disciplinary process in collaboration with HR when necessary.
  • Ensure the store culture aligns with ELC Brands’ values and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum grade 12 education; college background preferred.
  • Experience: At least five years of retail experience with one to two years of management experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Experience in coaching, delivering feedback, and managing teams.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and engage in moderate physical tasks such as restocking, setting up displays, and moving materials.
  • Additional Skills: Ability to embrace change, demonstrate a professional demeanor, and handle the fast-paced nature of an airport environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $49,000 to $91,000, based on experience, education, and location.
  • Bonus Program: Eligibility for a highly competitive bonus program with overachievement potential.
