Position Summary
The Skills & HR Innovation Analyst at Bristol Myers Squibb plays a key role in driving skill development and talent solutions across the organization. This individual will support the creation and execution of strategic solutions, collaborating with various HR teams and vendors to implement skill-based talent practices. As part of the HR Innovation, Strategy & Operations team, the analyst will focus on enhancing platforms like Workday and Eightfold, optimizing skills taxonomies, and ensuring the ongoing improvement of skill-based practices. This is a crucial role in helping build a strong foundation for new processes and driving change at BMS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Product Manager to enhance the Eightfold skills intelligence platform and integrate it with BMS’s HR technology stack.
  • Work closely with HRIT, People Services, and external partners to incorporate product enhancements and drive their implementation.
  • Educate various HR functions on platform capabilities and how they can be integrated into relevant processes.
  • Support the Skills Change Management Lead on initiatives aimed at deploying skills-based talent practices.
  • Help develop and manage a comprehensive skills taxonomy and enterprise governance framework.
  • Partner with business leaders to map skills to job roles and evolve the skills-based strategy.
  • Participate in policy development, legal reviews, and ongoing data privacy activities.
  • Work collaboratively across HR to foster the transition to skills-based talent practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with skills-based organizations and the integration of skills into talent practices.
  • Experience in HR process design, SDLC methodologies, and HR technology solutions.
  • Experience with talent intelligence platforms such as Eightfold, Phenom, or Gloat is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Consulting experience and expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning are a plus.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion required.
