Senior Manager, Workplace Operations
Position Overview
As the Senior Manager for Workplace Operations, you will oversee Stryker’s facilities across Canada and Latin America. This critical role ensures 24/7 operational support and that facilities meet safety, functionality, and sustainability standards in alignment with company goals. Collaborating with the Real Estate and Facilities (RE&F) teams, you will enhance employee and customer experiences while managing costs to drive organizational growth. This hybrid position is based in San Jose, CA, requiring on-site presence weekly with some remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Workplace Operations team in managing facilities, infrastructure, engineering, maintenance, and space utilization projects.
- Ensure compliance with corporate objectives, RE&F strategy, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create efficient and agile space management plans.
- Oversee third-party service providers, including janitorial, food services, and space planning vendors.
- Develop and implement strategies for optimized facility usage and services.
- Represent client interests in renovation, expansion, and relocation projects.
- Create and monitor building budgets, including capital and operational expenses, with regular executive reporting.
- Travel up to 30% across Canada and Latin America to manage regional operations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of expertise in facilities and project management, including electrical and mechanical systems, construction, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS).
- A minimum of 4 years in senior leadership or management roles.
- Proven ability to partner with service providers to deliver effective facilities management.
- Experience developing Business Cases and Financial Models (BCFM).
Preferred:
- Background in the medical technology or life sciences industries.
- Certifications such as IFMA, CoreNet, BOMA, or LEED.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $112,800 – $239,900 (plus eligibility for bonuses). Actual pay is determined by skills, experience, and location.
