The Opportunity
As the Senior Manager, Workforce Management & Payroll Technology, you will oversee a high-performing team while developing and executing a strategic vision for Chipotle’s labor scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll systems. This leadership role in the Digital Employee Experience department involves managing the UKG Kronos Cloud platform alongside systems like Workday HCM and ADP Global. Your responsibilities include providing day-to-day technical and functional support, introducing new capabilities, and driving transformation with a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a technical advisor for HR/Payroll teams, identifying needs and delivering effective solutions.
- Analyze gaps between business requirements and system capabilities, offering creative solutions aligned with compliance standards such as Cybersecurity and SOX.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure functional stability, long-term system reliability, and reusable solutions.
- Conduct rigorous quality assurance testing for updates and patches to maintain system integrity.
- Lead the development of technology strategies, blueprints, and system designs for workforce management.
- Collaborate on funding proposals and project strategies to align with long-term business objectives.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience in HRIS or labor scheduling technology, including payroll interfaces and global systems management.
- Supervisory experience of 5–8 years, showcasing the ability to lead high-functioning teams.
- Expertise in configuring workflows, managing cloud tools, and utilizing Agile methodologies.
- Strong project management skills and a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this role is $126,000–$186,000, with opportunities for annual bonuses and equity awards based on performance. Additional benefits include comprehensive health coverage, 401(k) plans, paid vacation, sick leave, and more.
