Role Overview
As a Senior Employee Relations Consultant at CoStar Group, you’ll play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. You will serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on employee relations, addressing workplace matters with professionalism and ensuring fair and consistent practices. Your role will align with CoStar Group’s people strategy, which focuses on attracting, retaining, and developing diverse talent while driving organizational success.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee concerns, develop investigation plans, and collaborate with HR leadership and legal teams to recommend solutions.
  • Provide expert consultation to leaders and employees on employee relations matters, fostering effective workplace relationships.
  • Ensure consistent and equitable treatment of employees, advising on employment actions and recommending best practices.
  • Prepare concise and accurate documentation related to investigations and employee matters.
  • Drive internal projects aimed at enhancing employee relations processes and organizational effectiveness.
  • Offer coaching and strategic advice on complex issues to promote a healthy workplace culture.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 8 years in Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, or Risk Management, with at least 5 years in conducting employment investigations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in handling sensitive employee relations issues with sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in HR or a JD is advantageous.
  • Certifications in HR or investigations (e.g., SHRM, HRCI).
  • Knowledge of employment law, excellent communication skills, and proven ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong consultative and problem-solving abilities with a focus on building trust and credibility.
