**Position Overview**
As a Senior Consultant, you will work with clients to manage risks and reduce costs associated with human resources processes, programs, and systems. You’ll analyze HR operations within a complex legal landscape, identifying areas for improvement in compliance and efficiency. Your role will include guiding clients on optimizing HR functions, contributing to cost management, and supporting the delivery of high-quality client services.
**Key Responsibilities**
– Lead and manage HR-related projects across compliance, risk, and technical services, developing innovative solutions for clients.
– Serve as a trusted advisor, maintaining strong communication and relationships with both internal teams and clients.
– Conduct technical research on HR regulatory issues at federal and state levels to design compliant and efficient processes.
– Analyze HR risks and costs, particularly within transaction environments, and develop strategies to mitigate these.
– Collaborate closely with clients’ internal HR, legal, and financial teams, as well as external vendors such as payroll providers and plan administrators.
– Prepare and manage project documentation, track goals, and monitor budgets using project management tools.
**Skills and Attributes for Success**
– Comprehensive HR regulatory experience, including familiarity with wage laws, labor practices, and broader employment standards.
– Solid tax and compensation technical knowledge, encompassing retirement plans, incentive programs, and compensatory benefits.
– Strong analytical and business writing skills, with the ability to present complex data to clients effectively.
– Adept at problem-solving and project management, with experience in working within risk management frameworks.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with project management tools such as Excel and PowerBI.
**Qualifications**
– Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, HR, or a related field preferred.
– JD with at least four years of experience in labor, employment, or compensation law, backed by strong academic credentials.
– Demonstrated skills in analysis, research, and effective communication.
– Ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
**Preferred Experience**
– Project management expertise, with experience in budget management and reporting.
– Familiarity with working within a risk management framework or internal audit environment.
– Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint, and Word.
