Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Retirement Combo Plan Administrator with integrity and a strong passion for the field. As a full-time Administrator, you’ll manage a caseload of around 95 small combo plans, collaborate with actuaries, and maintain strong client relationships. You’ll also be involved in a creative team for plan benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage A-Z administration of combo plans and independently handle a caseload of approximately 95 plans
- Interpret actuarial valuations and communicate issues to actuaries and clients
- Prepare Annual Valuation packages, including reports, funding notices, IRS Form 5500, and related schedules
- File PBGC Comprehensive Premium Filings
- Contribute to plan design and perform non-discrimination testing for DB/Cash Balance Plans
- Review tax forms, legal documents, and other reports sent to clients or government agencies
- Calculate contributions and prepare distribution forms for terminated employees
- Address regulatory issues, maintain positive client relationships, and provide guidance
- Engage in ongoing education, including webcasts and ASPPA exams
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in qualified combo plan administration
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Familiarity with Relius and FT Williams software preferred
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting
- Team player with excellent communication skills and client service passion
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASPPA or NIPA credentials preferred, or willingness to pursue them
