Job Description: Manager
The Manager plays a key role in overseeing the daily operations of their designated department within the restaurant. This position is vital to the success of Buffalo Wild Wings, as the Manager directly contributes to the restaurant’s long-term success by ensuring guest satisfaction, fostering team engagement, and driving revenue and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience:
- Strives to delight guests, ensuring their loyalty and repeat visits.
- Models excellent hospitality by visiting each table and engaging with guests.
- Effectively addresses guest concerns, aiming to resolve complaints and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Cultivates positive relationships within the local community.
Team Leadership:
- Implements all company training, development, and incentive programs.
- Leads shift meetings to foster team camaraderie and gather feedback.
- Provides ongoing coaching and performance guidance to team members.
- Plans staffing needs and ensures optimal staffing levels to support sales growth and guest satisfaction.
- Manages human resources functions, ensuring full compliance with all employment laws, policies, and procedures.
- Provides performance feedback and recognition, maintaining an open-door policy for team members.
Operations Management:
- Follows standardized recipes and operational procedures to ensure quality.
- Guarantees accurate order fulfillment, with food delivered to the correct table.
- Uses compliance systems, tools, and procedures with full integrity.
- Manages administrative tasks and completes daily transactions by 3 a.m.
- Ensures cleanliness standards are upheld and holds the team accountable for meeting cleaning schedules.
- Adheres to ServSafe Alcohol, Food, and HACCP standards, ensuring compliance during health audits.
- Assists with the implementation of new company programs and procedures.
- Ensures PCI compliance for all credit card transactions.
- Handles the unloading of deliveries and properly stores inventory.
Sales and Profit:
- Oversees shift operations to meet or exceed sales and profit goals, including labor and cost control.
- Ensures the team meets or exceeds sales targets, optimizing cost of sales.
