Regional Recruiter – Waste Connections, Inc.
Waste Connections, Inc. is seeking an experienced Human Resources Regional Recruiter to join their Knoxville, TN team. Are you looking for a dynamic, decentralized recruiting environment? Do you thrive on creativity, autonomy, and engaging with individuals at all organizational levels?
Responsibilities of a Regional Recruiter at Waste Connections:
- Partner with regional and district management to evaluate staffing needs and implement effective recruiting solutions.
- Manage all aspects of the hiring process, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, extending offers, and onboarding.
- Create detailed job descriptions and relevant interview questions to streamline the recruitment process.
- Conduct behavioral-based interviews and provide hiring managers with coaching on effective candidate selection techniques.
- Build and sustain relationships with recruiting sources such as candidates, employees, educational institutions, trade schools, business associations, and employment agencies to ensure a steady pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Develop innovative recruiting strategies to reduce reliance on external agencies.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and company policies throughout the hiring process. Educate and coach managers on pre-employment and onboarding procedures.
- Track and document open positions, candidate applications, and recruitment metrics.
- Maintain strict professional standards and confidentiality in all recruitment activities.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of three years of professional recruiting experience, preferably using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Willingness to travel for career fairs and hiring events.
