**About the Role:**
As a member of the People & Culture Services team, the People Relations team plays a key role in managing complex employee-related matters. This includes handling terminations, restructurings, performance management, and other sensitive issues, ensuring consistent and fair handling aligned with the People Relations portfolio.
The main responsibility is to manage individual cases that require special attention, focusing on the following core tasks:
– **People Relations Strategy Implementation:** Manage cases end-to-end, ensuring a supportive environment and delivering exceptional experiences for internal and external stakeholders.
– **Regional Responsibility:** Ensure compliance with local regulations in the U.S. and Canada while collaborating with stakeholders.
– **Consultation & Case Management:** Provide expert consultation on sensitive topics such as workplace issues, health, performance, and employee management.
– **Stakeholder Management:** Work closely with leaders, employees, legal teams, and others to execute People Relations services effectively and professionally.
– **Process Improvement:** Identify and act on opportunities to enhance processes and services.
– **People Topics & Initiatives:** Oversee people-related programs like restructuring and return-to-work programs, ensuring high-quality standards.
**Your Profile:**
As a People Relations Senior Specialist, you will be expected to drive and refine structures and processes, using your strong People Relations expertise. You will handle sensitive tasks with professionalism, showing empathy and dedication to learning. Your role will involve continuous development of services for your assigned countries.
**Experience & Skills Required:**
– At least 5 years of work experience, with 3 years in HR or similar roles.
– Expertise in people relations, policies, and procedures.
– Strong consulting skills, conflict resolution experience, and the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
– Knowledge of labor laws relevant to the North American People Relations landscape.
– Experience with conflict management and critical problem-solving (coaching or mediation certifications are a plus).
– High emotional intelligence, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
– A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask and prioritize in high-pressure situations.
– A passion for people-focused tasks and an eagerness to take responsibility for sensitive issues.
