Job Description
People Operations Coordinator
Location: Hybrid Work Model (In-office: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)
About the Role:
Guardant Health is seeking a detail-oriented and organized People Operations Coordinator to support the daily operations of our People Team. In this role, you will help ensure seamless execution of HR processes while delivering exceptional service to employees and managers. Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding:
- Manage onboarding processes, including I-9 verification, document review, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure accurate collection, review, and filing of all onboarding documents.
Employee Records Management:
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records (physical and digital).
- Enter and update data within the HRIS, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
HR Administrative Support:
- Implement best practices for administrative tasks related to HR processes.
- Monitor the HR email inbox, mail, and voicemails, responding promptly.
- Address employee inquiries via the HRIS case management system.
Contingent Worker Management:
- Support the contingent worker process within the HRIS, ensuring compliance and assisting managers as needed.
Termination and Offboarding:
- Coordinate offboarding, including sending documents, preparing agreements, and collaborating with IT and Payroll.
Employee Communication:
- Draft and distribute employment-related documents such as verification letters and promotion notifications.
Training Coordination:
- Schedule training sessions and provide necessary preparation materials to participants.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Experience:
- At least one year of HR-related or administrative experience preferred; internships and relevant coursework acceptable.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively.
Additional Information:
- Hybrid work model with in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday for employees living within 50 miles of a Guardant Health facility.
- U.S. hourly rate ranges from $21.23 to $28.66, with variations based on work location, skills, and experience.
- For roles in Palo Alto or Redwood City, CA, the hourly rate is $26.54 to $35.82.
Work Environment:
- Desk-based with occasional exposure to laboratory environments.
- Requires the ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift office supplies.
