Job Description
- Work with different project stakeholders, provide guidance and expertise around technology standards and processes
- Work with the Regional Directors, provide IT support and expertise during in the pre-opening phase of a new hotel;
- Assist in the setting up of the pre-opening team and the pre-opening office (IT equipment, connectivity, etc.);
- Assist in validating the technology in the hotel model room;
- Direct, with the IT Manager, the implementation of systems required for new openings
- Collaborate with external and internal technology vendors involved in a hotel opening
- In collaboration with project management team and hotel IT team, prepare end of project handover documentation
- Ensure that the IT Managers/Directors are assisting in new hotel developments and opening projects, meeting all timelines
- In collaboration with project management team, lead the hotel operations and technology teams on implementing Accor hotel global, regional and local technology and IT governance standards
- Conduct yearly & mid yearly performance reviews for IT Opening Technical team
- Attend appropriate product demonstrations and Trade Conventions to keep abreast of emerging technologies and products
- Participate in IT design & guidance during pre-construction phase of projects as required
- Contribute to preopening report on monthly basis for IT leadership
- Ensure that all of the above comply with the appropriate corporate policies (i.e. PCI, Security and Change Management)
- Other duties as may be assigned
- This is a remote-based role
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in computer sciences &/or Hospitality Management
- 5+ years previous experience in Hospitality IT management
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred.
- Experience in technology management and hotel operations.
- Strong communication & negotiation skills, ability to lead and influence strategy
- Strong problem solving skills, Excellent organization skills, ability to execute on time and budget
- General infrastructure and applications knowledge, including guest technology
- Must be able to travel within the Americas
