Job Description:

Join our mission to lead the future of snacking and make a difference with Mondelēz International! As a Labor Coordinator, you’ll be part of the Plant Operations team at the Chicago Bakery, reporting directly to the Labor, Education & Training Manager. In this role, you will coordinate labor schedules across all departments to ensure smooth production, maintaining schedules aligned with employee skills, budget targets, and union agreements. This role is pivotal in implementing labor scheduling systems such as Indeavor and Kronos, managing schedules for over 500 core team members.

Key Responsibilities:

– Ensure timely execution of labor schedules to meet production needs, including overtime scheduling.
– Manage weekly and weekend scheduling for various departments including production, sanitation, warehouse, and maintenance.
– Facilitate labor-related discussions in weekly planning meetings and develop labor projections to meet the facility’s future needs.
– Collaborate with HR and Education & Training to identify and fulfill classification-specific labor requirements.
– Actively contribute to the implementation and operation of the Indeavor scheduling system and serve as an expert on Kronos, ensuring efficient transactions.
– Communicate effectively across the organization regarding scheduling, time-off requests, and payroll.

 Requirements:

– Prior experience in a unionized manufacturing setting with labor scheduling expertise.
– Strong knowledge of scheduling methodologies and a history of driving continuous improvement.
– High school diploma/GED; Associate’s degree or related experience preferred.
– Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and analytical skills; proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
– Willingness to work a flexible schedule (Friday–Monday) and overtime as needed.

Work Schedule:

– Standard hours: 40-50 hours per week, with flexibility required for overtime.

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this role is $54,800 to $74,700, based on factors such as experience, skills, and location. Employees are also eligible for a competitive bonus program, health benefits, retirement savings plans, paid leave, and other comprehensive benefits. This position does not offer relocation support.
