Position Details
- Location: Sacramento, CA
- Work Schedule: Hybrid – 4 days in-office, 1 day remote
As a Human Resources Manager, you’ll support organizational planning by leveraging a deep understanding of business needs. In this consultative role, you’ll engage managers on business and people-related issues and lead HR projects, including policy updates and employee programs. Additionally, you’ll oversee talent initiatives, foster a best-in-class culture, and drive equitable application of company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary business partner, helping build effective teams and achieve organizational goals.
- Develop and lead HR team members, ensuring future leadership readiness.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including labor unions where applicable.
- Use analytical skills to collect data, identify trends, and recommend actionable solutions.
- Collaborate with Centers of Excellence on leadership development, recruiting, and people analytics.
- Provide strategic and tactical HR support, including employee relations and labor management.
- Implement policies and initiatives that align with local and federal laws.
- Lead cross-functional projects and drive organizational change.

Total Rewards
- Salary Range: $91,300 – $159,500 (placement depends on experience, skills, and other factors)
- Comprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, PTO, 401(k) with company match, Tuition and Mileage Reimbursement
- Performance-based annual bonus
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, related field, or equivalent experience; Master’s preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience in dynamic, matrixed environments.
- Proficiency with collective bargaining and labor relations.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to develop and implement innovative solutions that drive business outcomes.
- Experience managing projects and navigating ambiguity in fast-paced settings.
- Strong strategic thinking and tactical execution skills.
