Human Resources Manager – Distribution Center
Overview: As a Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing HR activities within designated Distribution Centers. Your role involves partnering closely with the Assistant General Manager and DC Operations Managers, supporting senior leaders, and driving HR programs and services such as staffing, recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance management, associate relations, and more. You will be integral in shaping the HR strategy to align with the company’s vision, culture, and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of HR Coordinators, providing training, guidance, and support while ensuring accurate issue resolution.
- Build strong working relationships with business leaders to influence associate strategies and improve performance.
- Oversee key HR functions including succession planning, recruitment, policies, leadership development, and employee relations.
- Manage employee engagement efforts, including handling surveys and developing action plans to improve engagement.
- Address employee relations issues, ensuring timely investigations and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and provide guidance on legal matters as needed.
- Use HR metrics to proactively address turnover and recommend solutions.
- Manage the onboarding process for new associates, ensuring effective integration into the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Preferred PHR/SPHR certification.
- 1-2 years of HR leadership experience in a distribution or retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Ability to lead a high-performing team and manage large-scale initiatives.
- Spanish proficiency is highly preferred.
