 Job Description:

Under the guidance of the HR Manager, the HR Generalist plays a vital role in supporting core HR functions, including recruitment, workforce planning, employee development, labor relations, policy interpretation, compensation management, benefits administration, and compliance. This position is based on-site at the factory five days a week, with a primary focus on first shift but also includes flexibility to support second, third shifts, and weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

**Execute HR Strategy (30%)**: Contribute to the implementation of Nestlé’s People Strategy, attracting, developing, and retaining talent to meet both immediate and long-term business needs. Foster an inclusive and empowering work environment aligned with Nestlé’s Management and Leadership Principles, supporting workforce planning, talent management, and organizational change.

– **Recruitment (25%)**: Oversee salaried and hourly hiring aligned with the site’s staffing goals. Partner with talent management for recruitment activities, from posting job openings to candidate interviews and onboarding, with a focus on building a diverse talent pool.

**Performance & Talent Management (10%)**: Utilize HR systems for performance and talent management, helping set objectives, guiding development plans, and assisting managers in enhancing team performance. Advise site leadership on employee growth and development initiatives.

**Employee Relations (25%)**: Cultivate strong relationships with factory employees to support open communication and transparent feedback. Conduct investigations, provide guidance, and maintain documentation as needed.

**Compliance (10%)**: Promote a culture of safety, supporting initiatives and goals related to workforce safety. Perform investigations and audits to ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including EEO, ADA, and worker’s compensation.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
– At least 2 years of HR experience or 5+ years without a degree in an HR role.
– Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or DSD environment is beneficial.
– Solid knowledge of federal and state employment laws (EEO, FMLA, ADA).
– Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, SAP).
– Willing to travel up to 10% as needed.

Essential Skills:

– Proven experience in compensation, benefits administration, and recruitment.
– Strong project management abilities (e.g., conducting surveys or updating policy manuals).
– Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
