About the Role:
As a Human Resources Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting colleague relations and creating a positive, healthy work environment. You will work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring the HR office runs efficiently. This position is on-site at Grand Hyatt DFW, Terminal D at the DFW Airport, and reports directly to the Assistant Human Resources Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome colleagues and manage daily HR office tasks
- Assist with talent acquisition, including screening applications and conducting phone interviews
- Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, including data entry, communication, preparation, facilitation, and I-9 management
- Handle payroll administration
- Plan and organize colleague recognition events and celebrations
- Provide internal communication and support for team members
- Assist other HR leaders as needed
- Track and manage mandatory training using our web-based learning portal
- Take on special projects or tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (required for verbal and written communication)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher)
- Familiarity with Canva and other software applications
- Experience with payroll systems and HR information systems (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
- Excellent problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of HR policies, laws, and trends
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a welcoming demeanor
- Genuine customer service mindset
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to changing priorities
- Positive attitude, energy, and persistence to meet goals
- Professional presentation skills
- Full-time availability Monday to Friday
