Job Description

Purpose

The HR Business Partner leads human resources initiatives for multiple departments at adidas, including Originals, Basketball, and Partnerships. This role encompasses team performance, employee engagement, talent development, recruitment, rewards, employee relations, and immigration/mobility. Partnering with the HR Director, this position helps implement HR strategies that align with the company’s mission. The goal is to foster a culture of achievement, inclusion, and respect while enabling employees to reach their full potential and supporting the business effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Advise management and employees on HR matters, such as employee relations, performance management, and policy compliance.
  • Support organizational design and training needs, delivering appropriate resources to meet business goals.
  • Collaborate with managers to develop high-performing teams, focusing on engagement, accountability, and talent management.
  • Partner with the Talent team to build pipelines of diverse, top-tier talent for workforce planning and succession needs.
  • Communicate the company’s mission, values, and objectives to employees through targeted programs.
  • Coordinate resources to execute HR strategies effectively.
  • Work closely with HR colleagues to align on administrative support for employees, including performance reviews, recruitment, and benefits.
  • Drive cultural change initiatives in collaboration with the HR Director.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders on team dynamics and HR strategies.
  • Expertise in diagnosing organizational needs and implementing effective solutions.
  • Strong business judgment and alignment of HR initiatives with business goals.
  • Solid experience in employee relations and organizational development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; SAP HR knowledge is an advantage.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive HR experience, preferably in multinational or matrixed organizations.
  • Familiarity with diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, and experience in global partnerships is preferred.

Base salary range: $126,155–$157,665 (dependent on experience and qualifications).

Work arrangement: Hybrid—3 days in the office (Los Angeles, California), 2 days remote.
