**Position Overview**
We’re looking for a driven and adaptable Field Sales Manager ready to thrive in a dynamic environment and contribute to building Rivian’s retail and service operations. The ideal candidate is skilled in field operations, experienced in leading sales teams, and excels at creating a culture of accountability. This role involves overseeing sales, daily operations, and team performance at an assigned retail location and nearby service center. Success in this position requires a customer-first mindset, a love for competition, and the ability to adapt in changing environments.
**Key Responsibilities**
– Implement sales strategies to meet revenue goals and expand market share.
– Set and track KPIs to assess team performance, recognizing areas for growth.
– Lead and mentor the field sales team, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
– Clearly communicate objectives, linking them to site revenue and employee performance.
– Manage staffing to meet customer demand while ensuring a premium experience.
– Partner with cross-functional teams to address customer needs and manage inventory.
– Foster customer satisfaction through strong communication, product expertise, and support.
– Standardize sales cycle processes for efficiency across operations.
– Monitor local market trends, reporting on insights to drive informed business decisions.
– Uphold Rivian’s values and culture across locations, ensuring alignment in operations and team interactions.
– Work with the Sales & Retail Development and Operations teams to execute events, brand promotions, and strategies that increase brand awareness and drive conversions.
– Guide associates through the sales funnel, using digital commerce platforms and CRM tools.
– Support special events and new site openings across the commercial sector as required.
– Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Rivian policies at all sites.
– Tackle additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by sales leadership.
**Qualifications**
– At least 5 years of experience in field sales, with 2+ years in a leadership role, ideally in multi-unit management.
– Background in retail, brand marketing, sales, hospitality, or related areas preferred; experience in direct-to-consumer models is a plus.
– Prior experience in EV automotive sales is an advantage.
– Proven success in developing and leading a team of field sales professionals.
– Flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with up to 25% travel.
– Experience with P&L, POS, and CRM systems.
– Strong HR skills, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and performance management.
– Must hold a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record; compliance with driving regulations is required.
– Ability to obtain and maintain local sales licenses if applicable.

– Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in leveraging sales data.

– Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

– Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting, maintaining strong communication skills.
– Skilled with project management tools and presentation software, including MS Office and Confluence.
**Physical Requirements**
– Willingness to work in various settings, including retail centers and potentially adverse weather.
– Physical tasks may require standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequent hand use.
– Ability to read and interpret regulatory documents and operational instructions.
