Director of Talent Management & Development
Summary:
The Director of Talent Management & Development is responsible for crafting and executing a strategic approach to talent acquisition, employee engagement, and professional development at Baylor Genetics. This key leadership role ensures alignment with the company’s business objectives by attracting, developing, and retaining top-tier talent. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, substantial HR experience, and a successful background in talent management and organizational development.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, emphasizing talent management and organizational development.
Experience:
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing talent strategies.
- Comprehensive understanding of recruitment, employee engagement, succession planning, and DEI initiatives.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels.
- Proficiency in HR technology and analytics.
- Alignment with Baylor Genetics’ core values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a talent management strategy supporting organizational goals.
- Partner with senior leadership to forecast and address future talent needs.
- Drive effective succession planning and maintain a strong talent pipeline.
- Lead recruitment efforts to secure high-quality candidates and ensure a seamless hiring experience.
- Design employee development programs to enhance skills and leadership capabilities.
- Oversee performance management systems to nurture a high-performance culture.
- Implement engagement and retention strategies, fostering job satisfaction and reducing turnover.
- Conduct employee surveys and use feedback to inform improvements.
- Lead change management initiatives and support organizational transformation.
- Build a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Analyze talent data to measure program success and present insights to leadership.
- Adhere to Baylor Genetics’ compliance guidelines and perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent sitting, standing, and use of hands for typing and equipment operation.
- Regular verbal and visual communication for reading and technical tasks.
