Role Responsibilities

The Director of Operations for HR Connect will lead Mayo Clinic’s HR contact center, serving nearly 83,000 employees and addressing over 255,000 inquiries annually. This individual will oversee approximately 55 live agents and HR representatives while driving strategic operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in delivering service excellence, implementing generative AI and automation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance HR service delivery.

The responsibilities include:

  • Setting and executing HR strategies aligned with Mayo Clinic’s overall vision.
  • Maintaining an operational dashboard to measure and optimize performance.
  • Driving innovation and implementing cutting-edge HR solutions.
  • Managing HR priorities, program implementations, and resource allocations.
  • Leading teams to achieve operational goals and fostering strong internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrating agility in adapting to changing business needs and technologies.
  • Monitoring vendor performance to ensure contractual agreements and effective outcomes.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of relevant HR experience.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with a strong understanding of human resources practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within integrated teams and build positive relationships.
  • Critical thinking and adaptability in delivering strategic priorities.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, HR certifications, and experience managing teams.

Schedule and Location Details

  • Full-time role, 80 hours per pay period, primarily Monday through Friday during business hours.
  • Hybrid model requiring up to three days on-site weekly, depending on business needs.
  • Preferred location: Rochester, MN. Other potential locations: Jacksonville, FL, or Phoenix, AZ.
