Job Description Summary
The Director of Human Resources provides strategic leadership and support for key client groups within MMS, including Infusion Solutions, Dispensing Solutions, and Global R&D. This role also manages another HR team member handling their own client groups. The Director ensures the integrated delivery of HR support through Centers of Excellence (COEs), ASC, and corporate HR functions, aligning with business needs and goals. As a trusted advisor, this position influences strategy across the organization, from conceptualization to execution, and drives high-performance results. The Director reports to the VP of HR for MMS and works closely with client leaders.

This role involves strategic HR leadership for client groups, helping resolve talent gaps and driving organizational change. The Director is expected to work with leaders to enhance organizational capacity, ensure talent development, and improve engagement. They will also lead talent management initiatives and support transformational changes across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic HR leadership across multiple business lines to address talent gaps, improve organizational performance, and support leadership development.
  • Lead and advise on organizational capability, workforce planning, engagement, and change initiatives.
  • Drive transformation in alignment with business strategies, with a focus on mergers, restructures, and organizational assessments.
  • Guide talent acquisition and development to address capability gaps, ensuring strong succession pipelines.
  • Consult on compensation and total rewards, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Actively engage in team building and development to improve performance and foster collaboration.
  • Work closely with HR functions to continuously improve processes and enhance employee relations.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of progressive HRBP experience, including change management and leadership.
  • Experience in large, complex organizations, including international work environments.
  • Based in San Diego, with travel up to 20%.

BD requires in-office collaboration for most roles to foster innovation, creativity, and effective problem-solving.
