Job Description

Job Overview:

Higginbotham, a leading independent insurance and financial services firm ranked among the top 20 in the country, is seeking a Commercial Lines Training and Development Specialist. This role involves training new hires and providing ongoing education for existing staff on the company’s workflows and procedures using the Applied Epic and CSR24 management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboard and train new employees on workflows, procedures, and systems such as Applied Epic and CSR24.
  • Deliver continuous education for current staff on updates to workflows and procedures.
  • Lead workshops on topics including new workflows, programs, and refresher courses.
  • Learn new software and systems, and develop training materials.
  • Collaborate with the training team, department leaders, and employees.
  • Maintain training records, materials, and checklists.
  • Assist with Help Desk inquiries.
  • Undertake additional training-related tasks as needed.

Location: In-office, hybrid, or fully remote. Occasional travel to newly acquired offices for training and support (around 2 weeks each quarter).

Required Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Insurance.
  • Experience with the Applied Epic Agency Management system in an insurance role.
  • Preference for experience in both Commercial and Personal Lines insurance.
  • Previous training experience is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • General Lines Agent Property & Casualty License is required.
  • Professional designations such as CISR or CIC are preferred.
