Job Overview

The Colleague Advisory Specialist supports People Leaders by addressing performance and conduct concerns through AskHR and inbound calls. They analyze performance trends, implement targeted actions, and independently investigate employee-initiated claims in collaboration with Legal, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders. This role ensures compliance with company policies and applicable laws while contributing to the growth and development of Macy’s workforce.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to People Leaders on employee performance and conduct issues, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Coach leaders to improve management-employee relations and decision-making skills.
  • Administer and oversee performance and conduct processes, including documentation and corrective actions.
  • Analyze performance trends and design proactive improvement programs.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of employee claims, ensuring resolutions align with company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate case tracking and documentation for performance and conduct matters.
  • Train and transition between roles within the Colleague Support team as needed.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance processes and recommend policy improvements.
  • Manage sensitive situations using conflict resolution techniques and maintain confidentiality.
  • Assess risks associated with disciplinary actions and ensure appropriate outcomes.
