About the Role
As a Centralized Staffing Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to implement the staffing strategy to ensure that all locations are adequately staffed to meet business goals and enhance employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage and advance candidates through the recruitment process.
- Report daily progress to the Team Lead.
- Follow best practices for communication, hiring, and processes to meet staffing objectives.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of all records and information.
- Regularly update communication and documentation in the ATS.
- Ensure completeness of applications and that applicants follow the correct procedures in the ATS.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with candidates and team members.
- Advocate for and support Kohl’s hourly staffing strategy.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
- Conduct initial reviews of a high volume of applicants and job requisitions for multiple locations each day.
- Engage in outreach efforts to build the candidate pipeline.
- Respond to general candidate inquiries.
- Create and post job requisitions for various locations.
- Make offers and guide candidates through the hiring process in the ATS.
Skills Required
Essential:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively in a workplace environment.
- Quick adaptability to changing situations and priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Discretion when handling sensitive candidate information.
- Proficiency in managing multiple computer screens and familiarity with systems such as Google.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Previous HR experience.
- Background in retail or high-volume recruiting.
- Familiarity with Workday software.
- Experience supporting recruitment for hourly roles.
- Willingness to work during extended hours and weekends when necessary.
