Job Description
Assistant Restaurant Manager
The Assistant Restaurant Manager collaborates closely with the Restaurant Manager to build a team that delivers exceptional guest experiences while driving profitable sales. This role involves supporting the development of Crew Members and Shift Leaders, as well as managing responsibilities assigned by the Restaurant Manager.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and development of employees to meet staffing needs based on restaurant sales projections.
- Ensure clear communication of job expectations and that all training is completed according to company guidelines.
- Hold team members accountable for their behavior and performance, addressing any issues swiftly.
- Foster a customer-first culture within the restaurant.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure environment by adhering to food safety, sanitation, and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
- Ensure the execution of brand standards, recipes, and systems, including responsibilities outlined in the Red Book.
- Help with preparing and implementing action plans to meet production, productivity, quality, and guest service goals.
- Review guest feedback and assessment results to create action plans for improvements.
- Manage costs to maximize profitability.
- Follow security and cash handling procedures.
- Demonstrate competence in inventory management and analysis.
- Manage the creation of crew schedules and monitor labor performance daily.
- Lead the rollout of new products, including training, marketing, and sampling.
- Drive sales goals and track results.
