General Purpose

As an Area Supervisor, you will lead and support a team of associates and/or temporary workers to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company standards. You will oversee production schedules, enforce safety regulations, and assess processes to improve performance. With a “can-do” attitude, you will take initiative to deliver top-quality results while fostering a positive, engaging work environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Train, motivate, and evaluate associates to achieve performance standards.
  • Build strong working relationships with peers, Operations Managers, and Human Resources.
  • Ensure merchandise is processed efficiently and accurately following established methods.
  • Enforce company policies and safety regulations.
  • Conduct associate performance evaluations and assist with reviews.
  • Manage daily work orders and staffing to meet production goals.
  • Communicate production updates and address area needs with Operations Managers.
  • Conduct disciplinary meetings and oversee the separation process for direct reports as needed.
  • Interview job candidates and make hiring decisions.
  • Facilitate training and meetings on safety, human resources, and new processes.
  • Maintain records such as time and production logs.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with technical equipment like radio frequency/barcode scanners and Rapid Pak Systems.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience in production or merchandising.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct supervision of:

  • Checkers, Markers, Packers
  • Material Handlers
  • Shipping & Receiving staff
