**Job Description**
**About the Role**
As an Area HR Manager, you will serve as a Strategic Business Partner to help implement the H&M people strategy and ensure a positive experience for our colleagues. You will work to foster a high-performance, growth-focused organizational culture that aligns with business goals and drives success. This position is based in Nashville, TN, and reports directly to the Area Manager.

**A Day in the Life**
Working at H&M means no two days are the same. However, a typical day will include the following tasks:
– Work closely with business leaders to effectively implement the H&M people plan, using a business partner approach.
– Promote and embody H&M’s values-driven culture, ensuring both colleague and customer satisfaction by driving performance and recognizing service excellence.
– Collaborate with the Area team and Sales Market HR to track HR KPIs and create actionable plans based on results.
– Develop a talent acquisition strategy for the Area and build an internal talent pipeline while overseeing talent development initiatives.
– Provide HR expertise and coaching to your team of Store Managers.
– Stay well-informed on legal requirements regarding employee management to reduce risks and maintain a fair working environment.
– Analyze local colleague challenges, including political, environmental, and competitor-related factors, and develop strategies to address them.
– Lead change initiatives and support colleagues through transitions with effective communication and guidance.
– Partner with Store Managers and the Area team to identify and coach top talent, fostering cross-functional talent initiatives.
– This role will require up to 60% travel, both domestic and international.

**Qualifications**
**Who You Are**
– 2-4 years of experience in HR, retail leadership, or people management, preferably in retail management.
– Open-minded, positive, and receptive to feedback, with a strong ability to multitask and learn on the job.
– Committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
– Skilled in handling conflicts in a constructive and positive manner.
– Ability to maintain professionalism and handle sensitive, confidential information.
– Knowledge of federal and state laws related to recruitment and training, including Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and FCRA.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office.
– Dedicated to developing store management and creating a positive store environment.

**Additional Information**
**Compensation:** The annual salary range for this role is $78,000 – $87,000.
