Appeals Specialist – HR Departures Team

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented HR professional who excels in investigating complex issues, making unbiased decisions, and supporting employees throughout their Amazon journey. As an Appeals Specialist with the Departures Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring fair and consistent treatment of employees while fostering a positive employment experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the Amazon employee experience.
  • Investigate policy application, employee statements, and historical data to deliver consistent outcomes.
  • Analyze data from internal systems and recommend actions based on findings.
  • Manage casework independently, ensuring timely resolutions and clear documentation.
  • Provide insights on systemic issues and suggest proactive policy improvements.
  • Conduct difficult conversations effectively across various organizational levels.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of overall work experience, including 4+ years in HR-related domains.
  • Experience managing confidential employee information and navigating fast-paced environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or MBA in HRM or specialized training in employee relations.
  • Experience with Amazon HR systems and case management.
  • Proven track record of career development and superior performance in HR roles.
