Accounting Manager – CBRE (Dallas, Texas)

About the Role

Are you ready to make an impact at the world’s largest commercial real estate firm? CBRE is looking for an Accounting Manager to join its team at the corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas. This role is responsible for leading sophisticated accounting and reporting activities, focusing on global leasing and fixed asset accounting. You’ll oversee regional teams across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas, ensuring compliance with lease and fixed asset policies, accurate reporting, and driving process improvements. This position requires exceptional problem-solving skills and a track record of process innovation within a global organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the global lease accounting team, meeting all corporate and client deadlines.
  • Enforce global standard accounting policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Oversee lease accounting tasks, including activations, modifications, and terminations.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and support technical accounting needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors, regional controllers, and shared services teams.
  • Contribute to process improvements and transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with finance teams to explain variances and resolve complex accounting challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of accounting experience, with 7+ years in management roles.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Expertise in GAAP, SEC reporting, and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft).
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-resolution abilities.
